The Key to your New Home
My favorite experience working with buyers happened when I was helping a couple search for a new home in West Vancouver. We’d looked for a couple months to no avail, then one day the perfect place came on the market. It was over their budget, but I’d seen signs of a market correction in the near future and used this during negotiations. We entered a low offer, knowing we’d have to come up slightly in price, but in doing so we requested all the furniture. The seller agreed and my buyers were overwhelmed with happiness.

My favourite selling experience occurred about 6 years ago, when l listed a gorgeous penthouse in Yaletown. I just knew this home had to go to someone special. It had been on the market for a couple weeks and I’d had a lot of interest, but I knew we needed to wait for the right buyer and ensured the suite had maximum exposure to find that person. It was the right call. We ended up with multiple offers and the property sold for $100,000 over asking. Best of all, the buyer made some amazing renovations and still lives there today—we even ended up becoming lifelong friends.
